Compensation for PaidAnswers Users

You earn money at PaidAnswers if your answer is either chosen as an "Awarded" or "Assisted" answer.

User Levels and Commission Rates

Most questions only have one official "Awarded" answer, and you will earn a percentage of the question value based on the commission schedule listed below. If you are a Beginner, you earn 20% of the question value. If you are an Expert, you will earn 50% of the question value. In some cases the customer will spilt the Award with multiple answeres if he/she feels that multiple users helped contribute to the overall answer. In this case, you will earn a commission percentage of the amount awarded to you(not the entire question value.)

Beginner	Up to 29 Awarded	20%
Contributor	30-59 Awarded	30%
Authority	60-89 Awarded	40%
Expert	More than 90 Awarded	50%

Your user level calculation is only based on "Awarded" answers ("Assisted" answer do NOT count towards your user level.) The more questions Awarded to you, the quicker you will start earning more money. Once you have 90 or more total "awarded" answers in your account, you will earn 50% commission on all earnings.

TIPS - Extra Cash in Your Pockets

In addition to earning regular commission, you are eligible to earn tips on each "Awarded" or "Assisted" answer. Just like wait staffs in restaurants, customer may offer additional tips above and beyond the original question value if you exceed expectations. All users (regardless of user level/commission rate) earn 80% commissions on the value of all tips (and we encourage tipping in our community.)

Monthly Maintenance Requirements

To supportactive participationat all levels, we require all users to maintain monthly minimums. The monthly maintenance requirements are as follows:

User Level	Monthly Minimums
Beginner	No Minimums
Contributor	5 Awarded
Authority	10 Awarded
Expert	15 Awarded

If an Expert only earned 13 "Awarded" in a calender month, that user will be moved down to the Authority the following month. The Authority level pays 40% commissions, so that the user will only earn 40% commissions the entire following month. Don't worry, if during the following month the user receives 20 "Awarded", they will simply move back to the Expert level the following month.
